National Vision Institute — From Projector to Permanent Digital Canvas
The Challenge
A projector works until the room starts asking more from it. At National Vision Institute in Atlanta, the existing projection system came with familiar limitations: controlled lighting, ongoing maintenance, and image quality that changed with the viewing environment. Originally specified by AV consulting firm Nuke and Void, the project called for a brighter, sharper and more permanent solution that could perform throughout the day without adding unnecessary complexity to a space designed for everyday collaboration and social use.

The Vision
The goal wasn't simply to replace a projector with a larger display. It was to create a permanent digital canvas that worked naturally with the room. The display needed to deliver consistent clarity whether viewed from a few feet away or across the space, while allowing the room to remain bright, flexible and inviting. Vision X offered the performance of direct-view LED in a configuration designed for everyday use, without requiring the space itself to accommodate the limitations of projection.
Built for Everyday Viewing
The Experience
Blue Square X supplied a 135-inch Vision X Full HD LED display with a 1.5mm pixel pitch in a 5×5 configuration. Installed using a custom Blue Square X dvLED mounting system and integrated by AV-Tech Media Solutions, the display delivers a bright, sharp image without requiring the room to be darkened for effective viewing. Its fine pixel pitch supports comfortable close-range viewing while maintaining clarity from across the room, allowing the same display to move easily between presentations, collaboration and everyday content. The result is a permanent visual centerpiece designed to perform as naturally as the space around it.

The Impact
National Vision Institute now has a social and collaboration space that no longer needs to be designed around the limitations of projection. Employees can gather around the display, present content or use the space casually without adjusting shades, managing projector bulbs or changing the environment around the technology. The Vision X display provides a brighter, more consistent and lower-maintenance visual experience while preserving the flexibility the room was designed to have.
